ConsumerOptix is a Front Office InsurTech consumer engagement company and the makers of Accelerate, a platform to create and deliver highly personalized media and eBenefitsIQ a psychographics-driven employee benefits enrollment platform.

The company was founded by James O’Hara and Brian Kipp in 2018. For nearly 25 years James and Brian have worked together to deploy highly personalized consumer communications and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms to the country’s leading insurance and financial services organizations including MassMutual, Morgan Stanley, American Family Insurance, Bank of America, McGohan Brabender, Protective Insurance, Allscripts, BlueCross BlueShield of Louisiana and Unum.

James E. O’Hara

James is a 1990 graduate of Northwestern University and started his career with Procter & Gamble. He went on to co-found two leading CRM and personalized media firms in Chicago and is a veteran in the insurance and financial services consumer communications field. His expertise has been called on to design and implement CRM and consumer communications platforms for some of the largest property and casualty, life and voluntary benefits carriers, brokers and agents in the U.S.

James is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events and author of numerous industry publications and an inventor of personalized consumer communications patented technology. James led the design and development initiatives for both Accelerate and eBenefitsIQ.

Brian C. Kipp

Brian holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Economics from Western Illinois University where he graduated magna cum laude. After starting his career with the Federal Reserve Bank where he led several key technology initiatives, Brian took over as Vice President of Technology for one of the first CRM companies in the U.S. where he led program development efforts for ADP and Ameritech among others.

Brian is an expert in personalized consumer communications in the insurance and financial services sectors and was the senior architect of one of the world’s first personalized interactive media delivery engines. He has led the technical design and development efforts for numerous industry solutions including MassMutual, American Family Insurance, Protective Insurance, and Unum among others. He is the technical architect of the Accelerate and eBenefitsIQ platforms.
